Top 6 Gadgets Expected in 2012

2011 was a mixed bag when it came to cool gadgets. Some of the 2011 debutants were performing below expectations while some others shattered comparison levels by offering superlative standards than what was expected of it.

The most popular ones in the past year were the iPhone 4S and of course India’s very own Akash Tablet which is at present the cheapest Tablet PC available on the entire planet.

Through various signs expressed by manufacturers, the year 2012 looks to be more fruitful than its predecessor. Lot of launches involving relatively new dimensions in technological innovation are expected to happen in 2012 and we take a look at some of the coolest gadgets that might pop up in stores this year.

The highly anticipated gadgets of 2012 are;

1. iPhone 5

The iPhone 5 is certainly one of the most expected and anticipated launch of this year. Prototypes and concepts regarding the new iPhone began appearing right from the middle of last year even before the iPhone 4S hit the stores.

The new iPhone is expected to give tough competition to the likes of Samsung and Blackberry. The specifications are not clear as of now with many rumours coming out stating that the phone will feature a transparent crystal body with full touch or a normal aluminium cased touch screen with the 6th sense technology implemented in it.

No official word has emerged from the company which is slowly starting to recover from the loss of its brain Steve Jobs who died in October last year.

2. Google Nexus Tablet

The Android OS managed to successfully battle it out with the iOS in the Smartphone segment but lost miserably in the Tablet market. Google is all set to change the OS fortune in the Tablet segment when it launches the Nexus series of Tablet PCs to go alongside the Nexus line up of Smartphones.

3. Xbox 720

Gaming buffs are most likely to be treated with joy this year as Xbox is reportedly gearing up for launch of the Xbox 720. The new device is expected to offer some of the best graphic support capability in the history of gaming devices and plenty of other features as well.

If the online buzz is true, then the Xbox 720 will house a monstrous 8 core processor taking gaming to new horizons. 3D rendering and support is also slated to make its debut in the gaming device. All these features combined, the gadget is surely one to watch out for in 2012.

4. Sony Playstation Vita

Equipped with a 5 inch OLED Multi Touch Screen and a Quad Core processor, the Playstation Vita is expected to storm the markets.

5. LG 55 inch OLED HD TV

This monster is expected to change the very dimension of in house entertainment with its striking resolutions and contrast ratios. However, do not expect it to be very affordable. With striking performance comes piercing prices.

6. Core Mobile Phones

With almost every Smartphone manufacturer announcing the launch of at least a single product based on the Quad Core processor technology, the industry is all set to witness a new phenomenon this year.  So stay tuned folks.
